Police No-Go Zones: Coming Soon To Your American City?

Over at Gates of Vienna, Baron Bodissey has posted the comments of Lars Hedegaard (pictured above with Geert Wilders), the Danish journalist and historian who was recently acquitted at trial of criminal charges related to insulting Islam.  The Legal Project Blog’s Ann Snyder interviewed Hedegaard and you can read the entire interview here:

 Of particular interest are Hedegaard’s comments on the “no-go” zones that have proliferated throughout Europe’s various countries.  They are areas wherein the local police authorities will not travel, patrol or respond to calls, except in extreme emergencies, and then only in the force of great numbers.  The reason for these no-go zones is that they are comprised of large enclaves of Muslim residents who have instilled Sharia law within their neighborhoods, and any cops that dare enter will immediately come under assault by hostile mobs.  So, unless the circumstances are dire, the police just stay out of those areas.  Here is what Hedegaard had to say about that issue:

 “Though the outlook for Denmark may appear grim, Hedegaard and others like him keep up a determined fight to preserve Western ideals and liberties. Even so, in some areas of Europe, so-called “no-go zones,” the battle (but hopefully not the war) has been lost. Mr. Hedegaard explains:

“Some areas have been lost. We have enclaves in the country where Sharia law now reigns supreme as we do in every other country in Europe. The police will not go into Birmingham [U.K.] any longer unless in extremis. You have about 700 localities in France where you have ‘no-go zones.’ Police will not go in. The writ of French law does not reign in these areas, and you see the same all over Europe. People are trying to sort of look away and brush it off as exaggerations and the ragings of ‘idiots’ such as me. But, however you deal with it, it is a reality that will pave its way through every country in Europe. As a retired American law enforcement officer, of course I’m intrigued by the idea that such zones could someday, or perhaps already do, exist within the United States.  The Old World’s Muslim population comprises somewhere between eight and ten percent of Europe’s total, with Dutch Parliamentarian Geert Wilders’ fifteen minutes long movie masterpiece Fitna citing a total of some fifty-four million Muslims now living throughout the continent.

 While exact counts are not available, I’ve read estimates that there are over three-million Muslims living inside the United States.  That’s about one-percent of our total population.  It can only be a matter of time before we begin to see some no-go zones here, as entire Muslims-only neighborhoods are established around the scores of new mosques that are under construction within American cities.

 The only way to head off this coming clash of civilizations within our shores is to change our immigration policies and stop allowing the massive influx of Islam that is currently underway.  Our elected officials would do well to listen to men like Lars Hedegaard, if we are to avoid the culture-clash disaster that Europe is now encountering.
