Cain
The more I read about this story, the angrier I’m getting. With thanks to Drudge, from CNN comes another report. Now the poor little woman who claims that Herman Cain harassed her in the 1990s says she’s “standing by her complaint”. That’s fine. We don’t know what her complaint was, where it was, when it was or who else was there to witness it – because she doesn’t want to tell us about it. Further, after turning the nation and the Republican Presidential campaign upside down, all of which is the direct result of this nebulous allegation that is coincidentally destroying a man’s reputation, now her lawyer says that she and her husband “see no value in revisiting this matter now nor in discussing the matter any further publicly or privately.” Really? No value?
Oh, that’s just swell. Something happened to her and Herman Cain did it, but she’s not going to tell us what it was. It had to do with sex and unwanted advances, but she’s not going to talk about it any more.
“In fact,” he added, “it would be extremely painful for her to do so.”
That is so sad. Meanwhile the very course of American history is at a turning point and she just doesn’t want to be upset by going through her story again, to clear things up for us. If there’s some substance to what she claims Mr. Cain did or said to her, and if what he did was really wrong, let’s hear about it. We need to know the truth about this man. If it’s all to drag on, never to be concluded with anything other than unresolved innuendo, because the complainant might get a case of the vapors, spare me.

We sure as hell know what the American Press Corps is doing with it – whatever it is. The Corps is eating Herman Cain alive and we don’t even know what he’s supposed to have done or said. This kind of cowardice, and yes, I mean that poor little defenseless, spineless lady whose non-specific sexual harassment complaint against Herman Cain stands to change America’s history, is despicable. Her husband is a coward, too, whoever he is. They’re like the man in the rioting crowd who throws a brick at a police officer’s face, and then fades away into the back of the mob, never to be seen again. Gutless.
No value in re-visiting the matter? How about the fate of a nation? Is there any value in that, Mr. and Ms. whoever you are?

And by the way, the current head of the National Restaurant Association, Dana Sweeney, says that the group is willing to release the complainant from the confidentiality clause, for the victim to tell her story publicly. Sweeney also said that Cain disputed the allegations from the outset of the episode. The victim isn’t going to talk about it.

Fear not, good men and women of America. This little lady and her hubby are quite content to let the Press Corps, the talking heads and lawyers carry buckets full of excrement and dump them all over Mr. Cain, all while the history of the nation hangs in the balance. She must be quite a gal, this victim. And her husband must be quite a guy.

One more thought: A substantive sexual harassment complaint against a major corporation is worth a lot more money than the $35,000.00 she is alleged to have received as severance pay. We’re talking six or seven figures in cash.

I’m convinced she doesn’t identify herself because then she’ll be exposed as a liberal liar trying to ruin the campaign of the truest Republican who has actually contended in the straw polls.
