Obama Biography Package Was Carefully Edited - Kenya Birth Info Not A Mistake (UPDATED)

With thanks to Andrew Bostom, here’s a link to a very interesting article at Doug Ross’ site.  Mr. Ross has compiled various samples of Barack Obama’s literary agency publication from 1998 to the present.  What they show us is that the controversy over Obama’s claim of having been born in Kenya was not the result of a mistake, as the latest Jan Dystel Literary Management singspiel would have us believe. 

The information was edited and re-published several times between 1998 and 2008, according to the needs of Mr. Obama’s various career positions.  Most interestingly, the big change in the brochure came shortly after Obama announced his candidacy for President. 

5/22/12 UPDATE:  I’ve just received an e-mail from Dr. Andy Bostom, which brings to light a salient point that I missed.  Andy writes: 

…Dreams From My Father states he was born in Hawaii–

 p. 66, …”during the day on drives around the island or on short walks past the private landmarks of a family: the lot where my father’s apartment had once stood; the remodeled hospital where I had been born; my grandparents’ first house in Hawaii,…”

 In other words there is a major discrepancy that neither Obama nor his publicists chose to address for years, and then failed to explain when the “party line” settled on the Hawaii birth claim

 These facts demonstrate that the man is endlessly deceitful, making the truth almost impossible to discern pending a REAL investigation!

 Regardless, such a serial liar is not worthy of the office and when we delve deeper into related issues, i.e., potential document fraud–he may be guilty of impeachable offenses…

On June 27, 1998, the website read: “BARACK OBAMA was the first black president of the Harvard Law Review. He was born in Kenya to an American anthropologist and a Kenyan finance minister, and was raised in Indonesia, Hawaii, and Chicago. His first book is DREAMS FROM MY FATHER: A STORY OF RACE AND INHERITANCE.”

The Obama entry remained unmodified (e.g., June 6, 2002) until sometime around December 9, 2004, when it was modified to read: “BARACK OBAMA is the junior Democratic senator from Illinois, and was the dynamic keynote speaker at the 2004 Democratic National Convention. He was also the first African-American president of the Harvard Law Review. He was born in Kenya to an American anthropologist and a Kenyan finance minister, and was raised in Indonesia, Hawaii, and Chicago. His first book, DREAMS FROM MY FATHER: A STORY OF RACE AND INHERITANCE, is a New York Times bestseller.”

On April 3, 2007, the website read: “BARACK OBAMA is the junior Democratic senator from Illinois and was the dynamic keynote speaker at the 2004 Democratic National Convention. He was also the first African-American president of the Harvard Law Review. He was born in Kenya to an American anthropologist and a Kenyan finance minister and was raised in Indonesia, Hawaii, and Chicago. His first book, DREAMS FROM MY FATHER: A STORY OF RACE AND INHERITANCE, has been a long time New York Times bestseller.”

On April 21, 2007, the website read: “BARACK OBAMA is the junior Democratic senator from Illinois and was the dynamic keynote speaker at the 2004 Democratic National Convention.
