Dreams From My Real Father Movie Producer Talks About Barack Obama’s Mother And Frank Marshall Davis

Frank Marshall Davis

Beneath the break is a link to a remarkable radio interview with Joel Gilbert, who researched and produced a new movie (click here to see the excellent trailer) about the relationship between Frank Marshall Davis and Barack Obama’s mother, Stanley Ann Dunham.  KHOW talk show host Peter Boyles asks the questions.  Gilbert asserts that Davis sired Obama and was his de facto father by virtue of instructions from Stanley Ann Dunham – that Obama be taken to Davis for mentoring three times a week, during Obama’s formative years.

  1. Kaleokualoha says:

My, what an ACTIVE imagination! There is no evidence that Obama’s mother ever met Davis, much less that they had any relationship. To illustrate the depths of his imagination, the author claims that Obama’s grandfather was a CIA agent!

“Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not to his own facts.” – Daniel Moynihan

  2. Kaleokualoha says:

    More imaginative propaganda:

“Davis also helped organize the Communist controlled ILWU (union) in a failed effort to take over the Hawaiian government in 1949. The Hawaii NAACP chapter complained to its national office, “Comrade Frank Marshall Davis suddenly appeared on the scene to propagandize the membership with the purpose of converting it into a front for the Stalinist line.”

In fact, the Hawaii NAACP chapter NEVER made such an complaint! If you read the ACTUAL testimony of rookie Board member Edward Berman, the truth is considerably different. An exhaustive analysis of the NAACP incident is posted at http://kaleokualoha2878577.newsvine.com/_news/2011/01/09/5801313-misrepresentation-of-the-1949-honolulu-naacp-incident-19-jan-2011

    [QUOTE]
SYNOPSIS: By 1949, Roy Wilkins had become a vocal opponent of communist influence within the NAACP. According to board member Edward Berman, the Honolulu branch was also in conflict due to the infusion of purportedly “Stalinist” new members from the recently defunct Hawaii Association for Civil Unity (HUAC). Berman stated that Frank Marshall Davis appeared at ONE meeting to “propagandize the membership about our ‘racial problems’,” and was supported by the “Stalinist” group [1]. Based on Berman’s one letter to the NAACP describing the situation, AIM fabricated four different versions of Davis’s encounter with the Honolulu NAACP:

Fabricated Version #1 (“Obama’s Red Mentor Praised Red Army”): In this version, Berman criticized Davis for allegedly sneaking into NAACP meetings, while allegedly having the “avowed intent” of converting the same meetings [3].

Fabricated Version #2 (“Obama Plays Reagan In Berlin, Al-Jazeera Journalist Funds Campaign”): Davis allegedly tries to take over meetings instead of sneaking into them [5].

Fabricated Version #3 (“Return of the Dupes and the Anti-Anti-Communists”): Roy Wilkins supposedly criticized Davis directly when he “rightly noted of Davis and his comrades: they would now destroy the local branch of the NAACP” [4].

Fabricated Version #4 (“AP Lies About Obama’s Red Mentor”): In this account Davis tried to take over the NAACP itself! [6]

Obviously not all accounts can be true. Even without reviewing the testimony, it should be readily apparent to an objective observer that some must be misrepresentations. In fact, ALL are misrepresentations.
