Any time the entire focus of the news media turns to an event such as the mass killing of last Friday morning in Aurora, Colorado, I begin to wonder what is about to fly in under the radar. There will probably be weeks upon weeks of 24/7 nonstop coverage of the Batman movie murders, to the exclusion of other important events.
There are no less than ten (10) Congressional bills set for probable floor action this week, all of which deal with “cyber-security”, “cyber-threats”, gathering and sharing information about such “threats” and federal regulation of same. I read all the foggy, headache-inducing legalese within the summaries as amounting to more federal internet surveillance and control.
