Elisabeth Hasselbeck Says Muslims Did Not Kill Us On 9/11 – It Must Be Nineteen Eighty-Four Again – (UPDATED) – YouTube (Fox News?) Scrubs Another Video

Elizabeth Hasselbeck

I originally published this blog post in October of 2010.  Tonight I decided to re-blog it as a reminder of the Orwellian logic that passes for rational thought around Islam, terrorism, jihad and the WAR against the West that Islam is waging.  Good thing it is that I took the pain of doing a transcript (in italics below).  When I clicked on the video link tonight, I found that it has been scrubbed from YouTube and is not accessible without special permission from the “owner”, whoever that might be.  I have no idea.  This is not the first link in my blog posts to go down the Orwellian Memory Hole.  Lately I’ve begun to notice that other links regarding criticism of Islam have also been disappeared.  Here’s the original post:

Elisabeth Hasselbeck says that  Muslims did not kill Americans on 9/11.  Now, that’s an interesting (and rather Orwellian) statement from the only purported conservative member of The View daytime television show.  You remember – the one where co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar got up and walked out on Bill O’Reilly after he said that Muslims killed Americans on 9/11.

I just watched part of the video of the show that aired subsequent to the Big Dust-Up – and had to listen two times to be sure that I heard Elizabeth correctly.  But there it was – she said it – Muslims did not kill Americans on 9/11.  In all of the hoopla centering around the Whoopster and Joy-o-matic, this one sort of stayed on the sidelines.  Does Hannity know about this?

Here’s the link to what Elizabeth had to say (she begins at about 2:50 into the footage) after Whoopi and Joy delivered their walk-out explanations – and below is the transcription I prepared for your review:

I think it’s also – ah, you know, someone asked me this weekend – it was actually a Muslim man who asked me, did you sit or did you stay?  And I think that there was, umm, maybe the idea, too, that if y-you know, if Sherri and I or Barbara maybe didn’t get up and leave that we agreed with Bill, and even on his show he seemed to say that I, I thought like he did on this issue.

And later on the show I even went on to say, no, I think that we should just be able to use the word terrorist.  And I think that not being able to say that word always links extremists and Muslims, extremists and Islam.  And I think that that has actually disarmed us in being able to separate that they are not all extremists – and that Muslims did not kill us on 9/11, as he said.

So, I think that it’s, it’s dangerous.  But it ha- it did, ah, bring about the question, did you sit and agree or not?…

Yes.  What is dangerous in this whole scenario is Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s thought process.  Or is she really just afraid of ending up like Juan Williams?  Ibrahim Hooper and his Council on American Islamic Relations are most probably watching and waiting for the next celebrity to slip up and say the wrong thing about Islam.

George Orwell’s name keeps popping up in my head.  In his futuristic novel Nineteen Eighty-Four he envisioned a world wherein it would be possible – no, make that obligatory- for people to hold two conflicting ideas in their minds and simultaneously believe both to be true.  Ladies and gentlemen, I believe we have arrived at Orwell’s conception of Hell on Earth – double-think.  And Elisabeth Hasselbeck has mastered the art, along with millions of her fellow Americans – including the last three Presidents of The United States.

Read the names and histories of the nineteen who hi-jacked the planes that eventually killed nearly three-thousand Americans on 9/11.  They were Muslims.  That is a fact.  Now, what will it take for our political leaders to do some homework and get it into their heads that the World of Islam declared eternal war on Infidels who will not convert or subjugate themselves to their Muslim masters – about one-thousand four-hundred years ago?  Somewhere George Orwell has got to be pouring himself another tumbler of Scotch, lighting a cigarette – and smiling – as the American March To Sharia continues.

About John L. Work

John Lloyd Work has taken the detective thriller genre and woven an occasional political thread throughout his books, morphing what was once considered an arena reserved for pure fiction into believable, terrifying, futuristic, true-to-life “faction”. He traveled the uniformed patrolman’s path, answering brutal domestic violence calls, high speed chases, homicides, suicides, armed robberies, breaking up bar fights, and the accompanying sporadic unpredictable moments of terror - which eventually come to all police officers, sometimes when least expected. He gradually absorbed the hard fact that the greatest danger a cop faces comes in the form of day-to-day encounters with emotionally disturbed, highly intoxicated people. Those experiences can wear a cop down, grinding on his own emotions and psyche. Prolonged exposure to the worst of people and people at their worst can soon make him believe that the world is a sewer. That police officer’s reality is a common thread throughout Work’s crime fiction books. Following his graduation from high school, Work studied music and became a professional performer, conductor and teacher. Life made a sudden, unexpected turn when, one afternoon in 1976, his cousin, who eventually became the Chief of the Ontario, California, Police Department, talked him into riding along during a patrol shift. The musician was hooked into becoming a police officer. After working for two years as a reserve officer in Southern California and in Boulder, Colorado, he joined the Longmont, Colorado Police Department. Work served there for seven years, investigating crimes as a patrolman, detective and patrol sergeant. In 1989 he joined the Adams County, Colorado Sheriff’s Office, where he soon learned that locking a criminal up inside a jail or prison does not put him out of business. As a sheriff’s detective he investigated hundreds of crimes, including eleven contract murder conspiracies which originated “inside the walls”. While serving on the Adams County North Metro Gang Task Force and as a member of the Colorado Security Threat Intelligence Network Group (STING), Work designed a seminar on how a criminal’s mind formulates his victim selection strategy. Over a period of six years he taught that class in sheriff’s academies and colleges throughout Colorado. He saw the world of crime both inside the walls and out on the streets. His final experiences in the criminal law field were with the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office, where for nearly two years he investigated felonies from the defense side of the Courtroom. Twenty-two years of observing human nature at its worst, combined with watching some profound changes in America’s culture and political institutions, provided plenty of material for his first three books. A self-published author, he just finished writing his tenth thriller.

  1. If muslims didn’t murder 3,000 people on 9/11/01, WHO DID?

  2. A. Gondring says:

You mis-transcribed by leaving the quotation marks off from her use of “Muslims” in context. She was clearly using the inclusive sense, noting that not all Muslims attacked, but a subset. And that there might perhaps need to be distinctions to avoid ambiguity.

Perhaps you are intentionally misquoting her, just to illustrate how right she is..?

    • John L. Work says:

I did not mis-quote her. That is exactly what she said. To add quotation marks within a verbatim text is a breach of ethics. You, of course, are free to draw any inference you may wish to draw from what she said. Best, JW

  3. Deborah Muir says:

Why are public people afraid to say what they know is the truth without qualification? Very disappointed with Elizabeth, however, I recognize that she is surrounded by wrong thinking folks who continue to rant and sing the liberal song every day. Stand up for your Godly beliefs and tell the truth! dm
