Allow Me To Introduce Dezaree Ryon – An American Patriot

Flag of IsraelDuring the past few months I’ve traveled a considerable number of highways throughout northern and central Colorado, speaking to local conservative patriotic organizations about the Islamization of America that is currently well underway – and about my books which deal with that issue.

Two nights ago I had the privilege of addressing the Colorado Jewish Republicans at their monthly dinner meeting.  After my presentation and during the time that I was autographing books for many in attendance who came by my table to purchase them, I met a remarkable lady.  Her name is Dezaree Ryon.  Dezaree took the time to email me on the following day, delivering a heartwarming message of support and appreciation for my work.  She also gave me a link to her own blog, which is called Colorado Chaim.  In her blog, she describes herself as an “Air Force brat who grew up in Japan”, but spent most of her life in Colorado.

Dezaree Ryon is much more than that.

I checked out Colorado Chaim and was struck by the intensity of her prose, her commitment to truth, her ethics, her love of America and the variety of information she makes available to her readers.  She gives us a Founding Father’s daily quote, excerpts from the Torah, mini-lessons in German and Hebrew, and her commentary (which she classifies under the heading Today’s Outrage) on the political issues that confront our nation.  Here’s a sample:

During a hearing on Capitol Hill before the Senate Judiciary Committee FBI director  Robert Mueller admitted to the ownership and use of drones, and bluntly answered the question of them being used to spy on U. S. soil, with a “yes”. He added that it’s not very often.. of course it’s not. In the same way that conservatives and veterans and christians and patriots aren’t being labeled as terrorists and unconstitutionally targeted, right? Or that our teams of navy Seals who valiantly brought down the evil enemies of not just America, but mankind, are being killed off, coincidentally? Or how voices of opposition are being silenced by the grave? Or how any cause or person that promotes anything remotely resembling our moral fiber of patriotism, common sense, and moral justice is labeled as hateful and bigoted? But, rest assure that these drones that unconsciously kill whomever is in their path, with no way to make a moral decision to hold fire, are only being used as spies on our enemies. But wait, WE the conservative, pro-Bible, veteran, pro-life, pro-gun, pro-family, patriots are the ones Obama and his evil cronies consider terrorists, so this reassurance does little to settle my mind.

For my readers’ benefit, I’ve added Colorado Chaim to my blog roll over in the right column.  I’m a follower of Dezaree’s work now.  How about you?

About John L. Work

John Lloyd Work has taken the detective thriller genre and woven an occasional political thread throughout his books, morphing what was once considered an arena reserved for pure fiction into believable, terrifying, futuristic, true-to-life “faction”. He traveled the uniformed patrolman’s path, answering brutal domestic violence calls, high speed chases, homicides, suicides, armed robberies, breaking up bar fights, and the accompanying sporadic unpredictable moments of terror - which eventually come to all police officers, sometimes when least expected. He gradually absorbed the hard fact that the greatest danger a cop faces comes in the form of day-to-day encounters with emotionally disturbed, highly intoxicated people. Those experiences can wear a cop down, grinding on his own emotions and psyche. Prolonged exposure to the worst of people and people at their worst can soon make him believe that the world is a sewer. That police officer’s reality is a common thread throughout Work’s crime fiction books. Following his graduation from high school, Work studied music and became a professional performer, conductor and teacher. Life made a sudden, unexpected turn when, one afternoon in 1976, his cousin, who eventually became the Chief of the Ontario, California, Police Department, talked him into riding along during a patrol shift. The musician was hooked into becoming a police officer. After working for two years as a reserve officer in Southern California and in Boulder, Colorado, he joined the Longmont, Colorado Police Department. Work served there for seven years, investigating crimes as a patrolman, detective and patrol sergeant. In 1989 he joined the Adams County, Colorado Sheriff’s Office, where he soon learned that locking a criminal up inside a jail or prison does not put him out of business. As a sheriff’s detective he investigated hundreds of crimes, including eleven contract murder conspiracies which originated “inside the walls”. While serving on the Adams County North Metro Gang Task Force and as a member of the Colorado Security Threat Intelligence Network Group (STING), Work designed a seminar on how a criminal’s mind formulates his victim selection strategy. Over a period of six years he taught that class in sheriff’s academies and colleges throughout Colorado. He saw the world of crime both inside the walls and out on the streets. His final experiences in the criminal law field were with the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office, where for nearly two years he investigated felonies from the defense side of the Courtroom. Twenty-two years of observing human nature at its worst, combined with watching some profound changes in America’s culture and political institutions, provided plenty of material for his first three books. A self-published author, he just finished writing his tenth thriller.
