GOP On Suicide Watch – Ready For President Hillary?

Hillary on LibyaMitt Romney has been removed from his position as front-runner for the GOP 2016 Presidential nomination.  I’m not grief-stricken about that.  He had no understanding of the jihad movement, in the least.  But the GOP poobahs are going to ram another RINO in the person of Jeb Bush down our throats.  Via Drudge, there’s a sizable piece in the NYT today about how it all happened.  Here’s just a little taste of the column, enough for you to get the flavor:

Donors who supported him [Mitt Romney] last time refused to commit to his campaign. Key operatives were signing up with former Gov. Jeb Bush of Florida. The Republican establishment that lifted Mr. Romney to the nomination in 2012 in the face of scrappy opposition had moved on…

Even though I voted for Romney in the November, 2012 disaster, you can count me among that scrappy opposition to his nomination.  I am now registered as an unaffiliated voter.

…The news on Friday that Mr. Romney would opt out of the race revealed as much about the party in 2015 as it did about the former Massachusetts governor’s weaknesses as a candidate. Republican leaders, especially the party’s wealthiest donors, are in an impatient and determined mood. They are eager to turn to a new face they believe can defeat what they anticipate will be a strong, well-funded Democratic opponent, Hillary Rodham Clinton…

So, the GOP’s wealthiest donors and big wheels actually believe that Jeb Bush is a new face?  Really?  I can’t help wondering what they’ve been smoking.  Personally, I refuse to vote for another Bush for several reasons – not the least of which is their longstanding close ties to the despotic ruling royal family which controls the Islamic State of Saudi Arabia.  That is an alliance from Hell.

Bush and King AbdullahthAll of which brings me to this:

Former Colorado Republican Congressman Tom Tancredo was unceremoniously declared a persona non grata by the Bush 43 White House, because of his crystal clear no-illegal-alien-amnesty stance – and his insistence on the necessity of closing and defending our national borders.   But beyond that, Tom Tancredo was one of a very small (read that: miniscule) hand full of elected politicians who actually understood, and spoke out against, the ongoing Islamization of the United States by the worldwide jihad movement. He had done his homework and read some history.

So, the whistle-blower was exiled from the yacht club GOP in-crowd, forever.  Just like Churchill was exiled when he tried to awaken England to Hitler’s intentions.  The story goes that none other than W’s right-hand man Karl Rove told Tancredo not to let his shadow darken the White House Door.

In a just-published a column at, Tancredo poses the question, are the Establishment Repubs and the Tea Party wing of the GOP heading for a divorce?  You can read his musings by clicking here.

I’m to the point where I don’t care what the Establishment GOP does.  I reluctantly cast my ballots for John McCain in 2008 and Mitt Romney in 2012.  I’ve heard it said that some 4,000,000 or so conservatives stayed at home in November of 2012, because they didn’t want to vote for another “moderate” candidate. They’d given up on the establishment GOP.

I give up, too.  I will not vote for another RINO.  The big donors and Republican Party powers that be apparently believe they can win the White House without the support of the “fringe” conservative base.  That includes me.  We shall see if they can elect Jeb Bush Hillary Clinton.

Let’s get that divorce.

About John L. Work

John Lloyd Work has taken the detective thriller genre and woven an occasional political thread throughout his books, morphing what was once considered an arena reserved for pure fiction into believable, terrifying, futuristic, true-to-life “faction”. He traveled the uniformed patrolman’s path, answering brutal domestic violence calls, high speed chases, homicides, suicides, armed robberies, breaking up bar fights, and the accompanying sporadic unpredictable moments of terror - which eventually come to all police officers, sometimes when least expected. He gradually absorbed the hard fact that the greatest danger a cop faces comes in the form of day-to-day encounters with emotionally disturbed, highly intoxicated people. Those experiences can wear a cop down, grinding on his own emotions and psyche. Prolonged exposure to the worst of people and people at their worst can soon make him believe that the world is a sewer. That police officer’s reality is a common thread throughout Work’s crime fiction books. Following his graduation from high school, Work studied music and became a professional performer, conductor and teacher. Life made a sudden, unexpected turn when, one afternoon in 1976, his cousin, who eventually became the Chief of the Ontario, California, Police Department, talked him into riding along during a patrol shift. The musician was hooked into becoming a police officer. After working for two years as a reserve officer in Southern California and in Boulder, Colorado, he joined the Longmont, Colorado Police Department. Work served there for seven years, investigating crimes as a patrolman, detective and patrol sergeant. In 1989 he joined the Adams County, Colorado Sheriff’s Office, where he soon learned that locking a criminal up inside a jail or prison does not put him out of business. As a sheriff’s detective he investigated hundreds of crimes, including eleven contract murder conspiracies which originated “inside the walls”. While serving on the Adams County North Metro Gang Task Force and as a member of the Colorado Security Threat Intelligence Network Group (STING), Work designed a seminar on how a criminal’s mind formulates his victim selection strategy. Over a period of six years he taught that class in sheriff’s academies and colleges throughout Colorado. He saw the world of crime both inside the walls and out on the streets. His final experiences in the criminal law field were with the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office, where for nearly two years he investigated felonies from the defense side of the Courtroom. Twenty-two years of observing human nature at its worst, combined with watching some profound changes in America’s culture and political institutions, provided plenty of material for his first three books. A self-published author, he just finished writing his tenth thriller.
