Chattanooga Massacre – Why We’re Losing This War – And It Has Nothing To Do With ISIS

crescent-200Hand me the Ibuprophen again.  I can only deal with so much abject blind stupidity.  Our authorities make this motive for terrorism seem so utterly mysterious that none of us regular Americans can possibly understand how all this horror happens.  I think that’s how the authorities want it.  The less we regular folk understand, the longer the war will go on.

So, here we go again with the Radical Islam razzle-dazzle.  Only there isn’t any such thing as Radical Islam.  There’s no such thing as a Radical Quran.  There is the Quran and there is Islam.

Ask Prime Minister Erdogan of Turkey.  “Islam is Islam and that’s it”,  he says.  Whether you’re a Sunni or Shiite, it’s all Islam.

Looks like our best experts are focusing on jihadi Muhammad Abdulazeez’s f-o-r-e-i-g-n   t-r-a-v-e-l to solve the elusive motive mystery in his killing of four good and true U.S. Marines in Chattanooga yesterday.  Here’s brief snip of the report:

(FOX NEWS) Authorities are investigating multiple trips the Chattanooga gunman took to the Middle East as they work to identify the motive behind Thursday’s shooting that killed four Marines.

Mohammad Youssef Abdulazeez, 24, a Kuwaiti-born Chattanooga resident who was killed by police during his shooting rampage Thursday, traveled to Jordan in 2014 and may have also visited Yemen.

Sources close to the investigation told Fox News authorities are trying to determine whether Abdulazeez had any contact with extremists during his seven-month stay in Jordan. Abdulazeez is believed to have traveled to the Middle East between April and November 2014.

Oh, Dear God.  Help!  Deliver me from our best and brightest, who refuse to see what’s in front of their faces.  I can solve your mystery, Mr. FBI Director.  The answer to your “motive” question is right here:

KoranAnd after you’ve read enough of it to understand what’s in it, you can go here:

American Betrayal CoverOh, go ahead, FBI agents.  Fly, fly, fly to Jordan or Yemen, or Egypt, and do your very best to figure out how a peaceful Muslim becomes “radicalized.”   But don’t you dare open the Muslims’ battle plan and read it.  You might actually figure it all out.

Q:    How does a Muslim become radicalized?

A:    He simply decides one day to answer every Muslim’s highest calling in Islam – to violent jihad.  Kill some Infidels in a conscious act of jihad and earn a guaranteed ticket to paradise – and all of its carnal pleasures.

Allahu Akbar.  God is Great.  And there is no way on earth to predict when a normal peaceful Muslim will decide to answer that eternal Quranic call to violent jihad. But, I guess that’s too complex a concept for you to grasp, Mr. FBI Director.  Maybe, if you just opened one of those books……

Oh, who am I kidding here?  That’s not going to happen.  And that’s why we’re losing the war.

About John L. Work

John Lloyd Work has taken the detective thriller genre and woven an occasional political thread throughout his books, morphing what was once considered an arena reserved for pure fiction into believable, terrifying, futuristic, true-to-life “faction”. He traveled the uniformed patrolman’s path, answering brutal domestic violence calls, high speed chases, homicides, suicides, armed robberies, breaking up bar fights, and the accompanying sporadic unpredictable moments of terror - which eventually come to all police officers, sometimes when least expected. He gradually absorbed the hard fact that the greatest danger a cop faces comes in the form of day-to-day encounters with emotionally disturbed, highly intoxicated people. Those experiences can wear a cop down, grinding on his own emotions and psyche. Prolonged exposure to the worst of people and people at their worst can soon make him believe that the world is a sewer. That police officer’s reality is a common thread throughout Work’s crime fiction books. Following his graduation from high school, Work studied music and became a professional performer, conductor and teacher. Life made a sudden, unexpected turn when, one afternoon in 1976, his cousin, who eventually became the Chief of the Ontario, California, Police Department, talked him into riding along during a patrol shift. The musician was hooked into becoming a police officer. After working for two years as a reserve officer in Southern California and in Boulder, Colorado, he joined the Longmont, Colorado Police Department. Work served there for seven years, investigating crimes as a patrolman, detective and patrol sergeant. In 1989 he joined the Adams County, Colorado Sheriff’s Office, where he soon learned that locking a criminal up inside a jail or prison does not put him out of business. As a sheriff’s detective he investigated hundreds of crimes, including eleven contract murder conspiracies which originated “inside the walls”. While serving on the Adams County North Metro Gang Task Force and as a member of the Colorado Security Threat Intelligence Network Group (STING), Work designed a seminar on how a criminal’s mind formulates his victim selection strategy. Over a period of six years he taught that class in sheriff’s academies and colleges throughout Colorado. He saw the world of crime both inside the walls and out on the streets. His final experiences in the criminal law field were with the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office, where for nearly two years he investigated felonies from the defense side of the Courtroom. Twenty-two years of observing human nature at its worst, combined with watching some profound changes in America’s culture and political institutions, provided plenty of material for his first three books. A self-published author, he just finished writing his tenth thriller.
