Trump Pilloried By CNN For A Supporter’s Statement: Barack Obama Is A Muslim

This had to come up sooner or later.  CNN went into figurative convulsions when Donald Trump did not “correct” a supporter’s statement at a political rally.  The statement was, in essence, that Barack Obama is a Muslim.  “Conservative” talk show host Ben Ferguson climbed onto the pile in the above video, excoriating Trump for not jumping immediately to squelch the “lie.”

Okay.  I’ve written about this issue many times over the past eight years or so.  Here is what I don’t know:

Who is Barack Obama?

A few years back there, when the question was still open to some discussion in the alternative media, I wrote a column which Diana West published on her website.  You can read my essay by clicking here.

The takeaway from all of the documented evidence I pulled together for that piece is that there is so much historical material about Barack Obama which has not been released, or is locked by Court Orders under sealed records, that no person of average intelligence could definitively say what the truth is about Barack Obama’s background and personal history.  We know less about this man, save what he chose to tell us in his autobiographies, than we know about any other President.

In May of 2012 I wrote another piece, which I published on this site, asking if you would hire me under similar circumstances.  That essay you can read by clicking here.

Now.  Here’s what we do know:

The question at issue here is not where the President was born.  The question is, is he a Muslim?

Well, that all depends on to whom you are speaking.

We know that Muslim law allows for marriage between a Muslim male and an Infidel female.  All children of such a marriage are, and always will be, considered to be Muslims for the rest of their lives.  That is Muslim Law.

If Barack Obama’s father is, as claimed by the President, the late Barack Obama Sr., his father was a Kenyan Muslim.  That would make the President a Muslim, as decreed by Muslim Law.

We know from school records obtained from Indonesia that the young Barry Soetoro (AKA Barack Obama) attended a Muslim school, was registered therein as a Muslim – and that his step-father, the late Lolo Soetoro, was a Muslim and an Indonesian citizen.

Q:  So, taking all of the facts into consideration, was Donald Trump wrong for not correcting his political supporter’s assertion that Mr. Obama is a Muslim?

A:  No.  He was absolutely correct.

If one is to believe that the President’s claimed biological father is Barack Obama, Sr., then according to the Shariah, the President is indeed a Muslim.

What would I have done in Mr. Trump’s position?  I would have done and said exactly what Mr. Trump did and said.

There is far too much we don’t know about Barack Obama.

About John L. Work

John Lloyd Work has taken the detective thriller genre and woven an occasional political thread throughout his books, morphing what was once considered an arena reserved for pure fiction into believable, terrifying, futuristic, true-to-life “faction”. He traveled the uniformed patrolman’s path, answering brutal domestic violence calls, high speed chases, homicides, suicides, armed robberies, breaking up bar fights, and the accompanying sporadic unpredictable moments of terror - which eventually come to all police officers, sometimes when least expected. He gradually absorbed the hard fact that the greatest danger a cop faces comes in the form of day-to-day encounters with emotionally disturbed, highly intoxicated people. Those experiences can wear a cop down, grinding on his own emotions and psyche. Prolonged exposure to the worst of people and people at their worst can soon make him believe that the world is a sewer. That police officer’s reality is a common thread throughout Work’s crime fiction books. Following his graduation from high school, Work studied music and became a professional performer, conductor and teacher. Life made a sudden, unexpected turn when, one afternoon in 1976, his cousin, who eventually became the Chief of the Ontario, California, Police Department, talked him into riding along during a patrol shift. The musician was hooked into becoming a police officer. After working for two years as a reserve officer in Southern California and in Boulder, Colorado, he joined the Longmont, Colorado Police Department. Work served there for seven years, investigating crimes as a patrolman, detective and patrol sergeant. In 1989 he joined the Adams County, Colorado Sheriff’s Office, where he soon learned that locking a criminal up inside a jail or prison does not put him out of business. As a sheriff’s detective he investigated hundreds of crimes, including eleven contract murder conspiracies which originated “inside the walls”. While serving on the Adams County North Metro Gang Task Force and as a member of the Colorado Security Threat Intelligence Network Group (STING), Work designed a seminar on how a criminal’s mind formulates his victim selection strategy. Over a period of six years he taught that class in sheriff’s academies and colleges throughout Colorado. He saw the world of crime both inside the walls and out on the streets. His final experiences in the criminal law field were with the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office, where for nearly two years he investigated felonies from the defense side of the Courtroom. Twenty-two years of observing human nature at its worst, combined with watching some profound changes in America’s culture and political institutions, provided plenty of material for his first three books. A self-published author, he just finished writing his tenth thriller.

  1. I guess by your logic I must be above average. I already accepted that the person who had the most to gain from this attempted smear (not an American citizen) was Hillary Clinton in 2008. if the Clinton campaign was unable to convince most that it was true then, why should I believe sources with far less veracity now?

The other “charge” (attempted smear), that Obama is Muslim, says more about those making the accusation than it has any relevance. We have freedom of religion in this country, so it shouldn’t make any difference WHAT a candidate’s religion is, or if they choose to follow none. He attends church, was married in one, and had his daughters baptized. That should make it obvious that he’s Christian now, whether he was from childhood or not.

Why would news organizations not wish to compare Trump’s question from a bigoted nutcase with nearly identical, famous footage from a similar encounter between John McCain and another nut? I think it would have been remiss for them to take any other action – Here’s how Trump handles a looney tune questioner, and here’s how McCain did previously. Simple A/B comparison.

    • John L. Work says:

You are apparently not too well-versed in the history or codified doctrines of Islam, or of Muhammad’s life and deeds. If you were you wouldn’t have posed the question about what difference it makes what a candidate’s religion is. I’m not going to try to educate you here. There’s not enough time or space. I did my studying for years following the 9/11 attacks. Too many Americans are still in the dark.

Name calling which is directed at others’ opinions or questions, as you’ve engaged in here a couple of times within your comment, is an ugly, conversation-ending tactic of the political left. You must be a leftist. You’re entitled to your opinions. So is the man who made his statement to Mr. Trump.

You apparently missed everything I wrote about Muslim Law in my essay.

      • Islamic doctrines aren’t relevant to the question of how and whether candidates ought to respond to bigots by correcting them. I think they should, but obviously they don’t have to. The media made a fair comparison, and people can decide for themselves.

      • John L. Work says:

Your premise about the doctrines of Islam being irrelevant is entirely false and reveals you as either an Islam apologist or an ignoramus. You pronouncing the man to be a bigot does not make him one. The doctrines of Islam are entirely relevant to the issue. You’ve had your say here. You’ve made your last comment, thank you.
