American Arms – Jizyah For Al Qaida In Syria?

gunsHere’s a report from The Washington Free Beacon which should raise the hackles on the backs of Americans’ necks.  But it won’t.  This will probably not get much coverage by the Press Corps, because it raises some basic questions about our entire approach to the identity of the enemy in this World War.  And the Press Corps is not interested in answering basic questions about Islam – or even asking the basic questions.  I can’t even begin to imagine what historians are going to think about us and why this empire burned itself to ashes in a few short years following WWII.  Ah, me.  Woe is us.  Into the Free Beacon report we go:

U.S. defense officials have confirmed that military equipment issued by the United States to Syrian rebel fighters has been funneled to an al Qaeda offshoot, raising new questions about the ways in which the Obama administration is safeguarding U.S. arms in the war-torn Middle Eastern country.

A commander in the New Syrian Forces (NSF), a group being trained and equipped by the United States, was found to have distributed at least 25 percent of the force’s U.S.-provided hardware to the Nusra Front, a terrorist organization affiliated with al Qaeda.

What? What Nusra Front?

Alarm!  Alarm!  A new terrorist organization?  Affiliated with al Qaida?  Wait a sec!  Didn’t Mr. Obama tell us just a few months ago that al Qaida was pretty well destroyed and on the run?  Or is my memory failing me?  But let’s go on:

The equipment, which included U.S.-issued ammunition and pick-up trucks, was “surrendered” to a Nusra Front affiliate in order to ensure that the rebel fighters could pass freely through territories controlled by the terrorist group, the Pentagon said.

What?  What?  They did what?  The Syrian “good guys” (suppress derisive laughter) gave up their American-supplied arms and equipment to the Nusra-meister sentinels so they could “safely” gain entry to the territory controlled by the Nusra-meisters?  They didn’t shoot their way into the territory controlled by the Nusra-meisters – and kill them?

Q:  Am I losing my mind here?

A:  Probably.

A Syrian opposition commander who was leading a group of NSF recruits “self-reported to coalition forces that under threat from al Nusra, they surrendered six trucks and ammunition to a suspected al Nusra Front intermediary to secure safe passage after being told that unless he surrendered some of his NSF equipment, his unit would be ambushed en route to their new location,” according to Col. Patrick Ryder, a spokesman for U.S. Central Command, who provided the Washington Free Beacon on Monday with a timeline of what took place.

Ah.  A timeline.  I feel so much better now.  If this weren’t so serious in terms of our busted treasury and our shrunken, demoralized military forces, one could fall down laughing.  Laughing at what?  Laughing at how stupid our Pentagon command staff has become after Mr. Obama completed the purge of real warrior-types – the purge which Mr. Bush began following the 2003 invasion of Iraq.  Laughing that a man like Barack Obama could get himself elected Commander In Chief two times.

“We will look at what we can do to prevent such a situation in the future, but given the complexity of the battlefield it is not possible to eliminate all risk,” Ryder added. “We are using all means at our disposal to look into what exactly happened and determine the appropriate response.”

Yes.  Yes.  Let’s take a look at this situation.  How about we take a look at what we are ever going to accomplish in the Middle East without a thorough examination of Muslim doctrine?  It’s the battle plan which our military guys have never read, because the Obama administration forbids the simultaneous usage or connection of the words Islam and jihad and terrorism anywhere within our military  training manuals.

Oh, I almost forgot.  That includes the FBI training manuals.

Let’s see now.  Our guys give the Syrians weapons, teach them how to use them – and the Syrians give the weapons we gave to them to the Nusra-meisters, in exchange for a promise that the Nusra-meisters’ brothers in arms won’t ambush the Syrian Freedom Fighters as they move to their new base.  Okee Dokee.

Read the entire story, if you can take it.

BTW, just for fun, here’s a little very incomplete list of jihad organizations (that would be the barbarians who want to cut our Infidel heads off and enslave our women):

al Qaida

Boko Haram

Nusra Front (new guys)

Muslim Brotherhood

Saudi Arabia

United Arab Emirates

Any other (take your pick) of the 57 Shariah-compliant states you can name, which are pretty well dominating the United Nations.  And believe it or not, they all read the same Quran.  And they all believe every word within it is the final unequivocal word of Allah.

So what’s the problem?  Why can’t our dunder-headed Press Corps honchos and Pentagon commanders understand this?  Why would they give weapons to Muslims, who turn around and give them to other Muslims who …..

(Epiphany bell here)

Unless……..unless, they’re in on it?………….

No.  It couldn’t be that.  Could it?

About John L. Work

John Lloyd Work has taken the detective thriller genre and woven an occasional political thread throughout his books, morphing what was once considered an arena reserved for pure fiction into believable, terrifying, futuristic, true-to-life “faction”. He traveled the uniformed patrolman’s path, answering brutal domestic violence calls, high speed chases, homicides, suicides, armed robberies, breaking up bar fights, and the accompanying sporadic unpredictable moments of terror - which eventually come to all police officers, sometimes when least expected. He gradually absorbed the hard fact that the greatest danger a cop faces comes in the form of day-to-day encounters with emotionally disturbed, highly intoxicated people. Those experiences can wear a cop down, grinding on his own emotions and psyche. Prolonged exposure to the worst of people and people at their worst can soon make him believe that the world is a sewer. That police officer’s reality is a common thread throughout Work’s crime fiction books. Following his graduation from high school, Work studied music and became a professional performer, conductor and teacher. Life made a sudden, unexpected turn when, one afternoon in 1976, his cousin, who eventually became the Chief of the Ontario, California, Police Department, talked him into riding along during a patrol shift. The musician was hooked into becoming a police officer. After working for two years as a reserve officer in Southern California and in Boulder, Colorado, he joined the Longmont, Colorado Police Department. Work served there for seven years, investigating crimes as a patrolman, detective and patrol sergeant. In 1989 he joined the Adams County, Colorado Sheriff’s Office, where he soon learned that locking a criminal up inside a jail or prison does not put him out of business. As a sheriff’s detective he investigated hundreds of crimes, including eleven contract murder conspiracies which originated “inside the walls”. While serving on the Adams County North Metro Gang Task Force and as a member of the Colorado Security Threat Intelligence Network Group (STING), Work designed a seminar on how a criminal’s mind formulates his victim selection strategy. Over a period of six years he taught that class in sheriff’s academies and colleges throughout Colorado. He saw the world of crime both inside the walls and out on the streets. His final experiences in the criminal law field were with the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office, where for nearly two years he investigated felonies from the defense side of the Courtroom. Twenty-two years of observing human nature at its worst, combined with watching some profound changes in America’s culture and political institutions, provided plenty of material for his first three books. A self-published author, he just finished writing his tenth thriller.
