And so it begins. Or is it the beginning of the end?
The Hamtramck, Michigan City Council now has a Muslim majority. One building at a time. One street at a time. One neighborhood at a time. One city at a time. One county at a time. One state at a time. One nation at a time.
Oh, yes, it’s really nice to hear all of those reassurances from the newly-elected officials as they promise with straight faces that they will do their very best to represent all of the inhabitants in the city.
Yes, indeedy. Until what may be in the best traditional Western Style Democracy interests of the city come into conflict with Islam.
Then those new Council Members will be situated between their duties to uphold and defend the Constitutions and laws of the United States and Michigan, and their obligation as Muslims (which overrides any and all loyalties to border or country). Which way will they go? Will they obey and enforce Shariah (Muslim Law) or disavow that obligation and do the right thing as Americans?
I have an idea which way they’ll tip in that case. Do you?
It is the beginning of the end here in the U.S.A. Just a very small beginning.
Looked to me like those ABC reporters could barely contain their glee over all the new diversity in Hamtramck.
