Nikki Haley Tells Us How To Think About Immigrants

I’m so sorry, Governor Haley.  I’m all toleranced out with this invasion of Third World immigrants, especially from the World of Islam, which intends to destroy us and our way of life.

I’ve had enough of reading about prayer breaks, prayer rugs, Muslims shouting Allahu Akbar as unthinkable things are done to human beings, mosques and minarets, scimitars, jihad, shootings, stabbings, bombings, beheadings, rape, pillage and arson.  I’ve had enough of it.  Islam is entirely foreign to Western Civilization and intends to wreck everything we hold dear to our hearts.

Call me extreme, if you wish.  Call me an intolerant member of the conservative base.  I’ve had enough of your brand of establishment, big-tent, open borders, big-spending Republican politics.  You and I have nothing in common and nothing to talk about.

If you’re not smart enough to recognize the misogyny, hatred, anti-Semitism, barbarism, savagery, and intolerance inherent in doctrinal Islam, I suggest you do some homework.  Then, perhaps, we’ll have something in common.

About John L. Work

John Lloyd Work has taken the detective thriller genre and woven an occasional political thread throughout his books, morphing what was once considered an arena reserved for pure fiction into believable, terrifying, futuristic, true-to-life “faction”. He traveled the uniformed patrolman’s path, answering brutal domestic violence calls, high speed chases, homicides, suicides, armed robberies, breaking up bar fights, and the accompanying sporadic unpredictable moments of terror - which eventually come to all police officers, sometimes when least expected. He gradually absorbed the hard fact that the greatest danger a cop faces comes in the form of day-to-day encounters with emotionally disturbed, highly intoxicated people. Those experiences can wear a cop down, grinding on his own emotions and psyche. Prolonged exposure to the worst of people and people at their worst can soon make him believe that the world is a sewer. That police officer’s reality is a common thread throughout Work’s crime fiction books. Following his graduation from high school, Work studied music and became a professional performer, conductor and teacher. Life made a sudden, unexpected turn when, one afternoon in 1976, his cousin, who eventually became the Chief of the Ontario, California, Police Department, talked him into riding along during a patrol shift. The musician was hooked into becoming a police officer. After working for two years as a reserve officer in Southern California and in Boulder, Colorado, he joined the Longmont, Colorado Police Department. Work served there for seven years, investigating crimes as a patrolman, detective and patrol sergeant. In 1989 he joined the Adams County, Colorado Sheriff’s Office, where he soon learned that locking a criminal up inside a jail or prison does not put him out of business. As a sheriff’s detective he investigated hundreds of crimes, including eleven contract murder conspiracies which originated “inside the walls”. While serving on the Adams County North Metro Gang Task Force and as a member of the Colorado Security Threat Intelligence Network Group (STING), Work designed a seminar on how a criminal’s mind formulates his victim selection strategy. Over a period of six years he taught that class in sheriff’s academies and colleges throughout Colorado. He saw the world of crime both inside the walls and out on the streets. His final experiences in the criminal law field were with the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office, where for nearly two years he investigated felonies from the defense side of the Courtroom. Twenty-two years of observing human nature at its worst, combined with watching some profound changes in America’s culture and political institutions, provided plenty of material for his first three books. A self-published author, he just finished writing his tenth thriller.

  1. Maybe it’s my orientation as a scientist, but it should all come down to the math. Approximately one out of four people in the world are Muslim, according to Pew Research. If not even one in every 1000 Muslims is involved in terrorist activity, it can’t be Islam that’s driving it, and the murderers are merely using the indefensible excuse of having a religious motive. There have been a number of death cults in history, and groups like ISIS, Boko Haram etc, fit this profile, not any legitimate sect of a major religion.

To paraphrase the guy who said it after the Leytonstone attack, “They aint Muslims, bruv.”

    • John L. Work says:

Read the Quran, Mikey. Read the Hadith collections. Read about Muhammad’s life and deeds. You don’t know what you’re talking about.

      • I have actually read both, having taken comparative religions and religious history courses at college. I also know about the Inquisition. the Crusades, and use of the Bible to justify slavery. Folks have pointed to religion as the direct cause of millions of acts both good and bad, but it has never been proven, only asserted.

By that flawed logic you would have to “blame” Christianity for all the deaths caused by Stalin, who had originally been a seminary student. But we don’t do that. We blame the villains as being responsible for their own actions.

Evil people usually profess to belong to some religion. It doesn’t mean their religion causes the evil. Two coexistent facts don’t establish causality, and there’s little empirical evidence that religion drives any antisocial behavior compared to greed, the lust for power, psychosis, or frustration at living under oppression and extreme poverty.

Rather than using an immature choice of phrase like “You don’t know what you’re talking about” (which you can’t know without knowing me), might I suggest something more respectful, along the lines of “we disagree”?

      • John L. Work says:

We have a fundamental disagreement. The Quran is replete with commands to do violence to non-Muslims. The call to jihad is eternal, for all times and all places. The call to jihad is the highest one in Islam. The Quran promises special rewards in the hereafter to those who are killed while waging war against non-Muslims. If you’ve read the Quran, you should know that. While most Muslims do not answer the call to violent jihad, it is always and forever there in the doctrine. Muhammad was the prime example of what a man should be and do. He is considered the perfect man. Nowhere did Christ advocate violence toward anyone. He did not command his followers to kill people. Muhammad both advocated it and did it, himself. The Inquisition was instituted by bad men – agreed. The Crusades were defensive actions in response to the Muslim conquest of Constantinople, which was rather violent in and of itself. Codified Muslim doctrine is violent and misogynistic. If you’ve read the Quran, you should know that. Respectfully, JW
